Job Description

To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:


• Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.

• Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.

As a Project Coordinator within Pomerleau’s Major Projects team, you manage multiple activities and schedules to gain a clearer understanding of the client’s, team’s, and project’s needs. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $250 million to over $1 billion - you will play a crucial role in communicating with stakeholders, ensuring resource availability, and overseeing various administrative tasks.
What you will do :
• Support the project team with your keen attention to detail by ensuring project coordination and administrative support.
• Use your passion for customer service to maintain open lines of communication with our team members, business partners, consultants, and clients.
• Diligently review, interpret, and update our construction schedules.
• Apply your passion for organization through the maintenance, review, and successful tracking of shop drawings, requests for information, material purchase orders, change notice quotes, and project closeout documents.
• Carefully examine, collect, and analyze project quotes, seeking the best market prices.
• Manage the collection and completion of company-wide project reports for the projects assigned to you.
• Be a role model in applying project-specific safety standards, helping to promote Pomerleau’s health and safety programs, applicable laws, regulations, and safety codes to all employees and business partners on site.


This role could be for you if you have :
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in the construction industry.
• A university degree or technical diploma in engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• Proven experience in project coordination and team collaboration.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
