Job Description

To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:


• Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.

• Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.

As a Scheduler working in the Technical Office team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role driving collaboration and communication as it relates to scheduling multiple types of projects. Supporting our large-scale building and infrastructure projects – from $150 million and more – you will provide support to Project Directors, Project Managers and superintendent in the creation of scheduling strategy during pre-construction phase. You will also be in charge of scheduling progress during execution phase.
What you will do

• Assist the project team through baseline schedule development and progress updates.
• Implement scheduling norms and standards and respect internal processes regarding scheduling management.
• Produce the scheduling documentation including narratives and resources curves.
• Animate schedule updates meeting with the participation of subs and/or projects partners.
• Integrate progress, analyse data, identify variances and propose mitigation measures.
• Act as communication support between schedule’s stakeholders.
• Submit scheduling contractual documents as per internal processes and participate to client scheduling meeting if needed.
• Depending on the scale, you can work in parallel on multiple projects.

This role could be for you if you have
• Completed a construction related certificate program, diploma or degree.
• 4+ years of hands-on scheduling experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, in industrial, building or civil infrastructure projects.
• Used most recognized scheduling software in your previous experiences such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.

• Curiosity and rigorous, also good communication skills.
